When I first picked up a real camera, I knew I could use it to do more than simply take pleasing images. Today, I still hope my most successful work conveys something more - suggesting some deeper meaning, or at least revealing what I was thinking or feeling when I created it.
I enjoy controlling the creative process from start to finish. In the film days, I printed in both black and white and colour. Since switching to digital, I’ve been producing my own archival-quality fine art prints for exhibition and sale.
Prints are available for sale, framed or unframed at the size of your choice. Please use the “contact” page to inquire about availability and price.
The majority of my work falls into three main themes:
I’m fascinated by the passage of time, especially the tension between beauty and decay. There are also ways abandoned places reveal hints of the lives once lived there.
In my landscape work, I particularly love the magic that happens when land, sky and water meet.
My most satisfying work probably involves photographing people, which falls into two main categories: candid or street photography and environmental portraits.
